4D Sonogram

She had her legs up by her face again (like during the last sono) so she must really like to stay curled up. Even if she would move her legs a little, she would keep her hands/arms/knees or something up by her face :) But we still got some cool pictures!

Hand on her head and knee in front of her nose.

Eye open

Leg in front of face

Feet

The video they took was just a recording of the screen during the sonogram so it was almost 30 minutes long. I cut out a lot of it to shorten it (and took off the song they put to it, so there's no sound). I left some of the 2D stuff in there because that's when you can see her moving around. The 4D images are pictures that they freeze and then move around to try and get better views, so it looks kind of choppy at times but it was really cool!

THANK YOU GRANDPA BILL AND GRANDMA BARBARA!!!

Keep Your Eyes Open

by Needtobreathe:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIRTm4A41KM

If you could soldier on
Headstrong into the storm
I’ll be here waiting on the other side
Don’t look back, the road is long
The first days of the war are gone
Take back your former throne and turn the tide

Cause if you never leave home, never let go
You’ll never make it to the great unknown till you
Keep your eyes open, my love
So tell me you’re strong, tell me you see
I need to hear it, can you promise me to
Keep your eyes open, my love

Just past the circumstance
The first light, a second chance
No child could ever dance the way you do
Tear down the prison walls
Don’t start
 the curtain call
Your chains will never fall until you do

Don’t let the night become the day
Don’t take the darkness to the grave
I know pain
 is just a place
The will has been broken
Don’t let the fear become the hate
Don’t take the sadness to the grave
I know the fight is on the way
When the sides have been chosen

So show me your fire, show me your heart
You know I’ll never let you fall apart if you
Keep your eyes open, my love

Wesley's "A Day to Remember"

Wesley Hospital does a memorial service every year for the babies called "A Day to Remember".

During the service they read the babies' names and the parents stand as their baby's name is read so they can bring them a bookmark and a rose.

There is a memorial outside in the courtyard with an evergreen tree in the center.
Every year they put in a new brick for the babies who died that year,
so we all went outside as they put the 2012 brick in.

A couple of the poems they read at the service:

Lifetime Wishes
"If we could have a lifetime wish
A dream that would come true,
We'd pray to God with all our hearts
For yesterday and you.
A thousand words can't bring you back,
We know because we've tried.
Neither will a thousand tears,
We know because we've cried.
You left behind our broken hearts
And happy memories too...
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted you."

The Broken Chain
"We little knew that morning
that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved  you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."

18 weeks

Still a girl!

Measured at 18 weeks, 6 days which puts her due date at Feb. 28 (her Uncle Kyle's b-day)
but our doctor is keeping the official due date at March 5th since we'll be inducing early.
If everything goes well we might even induce on Chad's birthday (Feb. 11th).

Baby #2

Our little blob- 6 weeks, 1 day
(Measured 2 weeks behind so they changed my due date from Feb. 20 to March 5,
but they're planning to induce at 37 weeks- mid February)

Pictures of Zane

The pictures from the bereavement photographer at Wesley came this week so I put some pictures together into a slideshow.

The song I put with it is one of my many favorites right now.
Even when we “hurt with nothing left” we still know that God is good and holy.

Zane's "Birthday"

March 22, I didn't feel any movement from the baby which had never happened before. When I went in for a heart beat check, there wasn't one.

March 23, Zane was delivered at almost 32 weeks. Dave, a friend and pastor from our church, came and prayed with our family that night of Zane's "birthday". 3-23-12

This is a video my brother-in-law, Travis, put together for us:
