Oct. 15- Running into Couch

Oct. 20- Macey's Musical

Simon's 1 Year & Surgery Day (Aug. 17 & 19)

One week pre-op & one week post-op

 Before surgery:
Simon's first birthday (August 17) he weighed 20 pounds, 9 ounces (2 weeks after surgery he had dropped down to 19 lb 6 oz) and was 28 1/2 inches long. He had 8 teeth and his only two words were "mom" and "dog" ("gog").

Surgery Day (August 19):

Before surgery (Amy made my shirt for me, along with hers & her kids')
Everyone wore Superman shirts for "Super Si", even our anesthesiologist, who we just met that day :)

Waiting room during surgery:

After surgery:

Simon's 1st Birthday Party (August 15)

Pool party at Aunt Sally & Uncle Greg's house with some family and my small group.

It's a BOY!

Baby measured right on track! He definitely wasn't shy about being a boy either :)

Working Under the Sink

Reading Frozen Books

This girl LOVES to read!
She's really not into the movie Frozen, even though we've watched it with her a few times, (but she loved the "Let It Go" song) so the only name she knows in the movie is Elsa, which is what she's saying throughout the Elsa book in this video. She also says "The End. That great book" whenever she finishes a book.

Farm Visit

Emily (my cousin) and I took Macey to Blaine's (her husband) farm to see the animals- she was most excited about the kittens, of course. But she had so much fun and still talks about it :)

Simon's Bike

This was actually Macey's bike, but it's now one of Simon's favorite toys. He pushes it around, climbs on and off of it (he can actually climb onto the seat the right way and ride it), and he even uses it as a stool when he wants to try climbing onto the couch.

Si 11 Months

(Late again, Emily :) )

Simon turned 11 months on July 17. He weighed 20 1/2 pounds (25th percentile) and was 28 1/4 inches tall (10th percentile). He gives high fives (but still doesn't clap) and points at everything. He says "gog" (dog) and "mom", and sometimes it seems like he's trying to say dad, but really he just yells "ah!" when he sees Chad sometimes. He never stops moving and is very aggressive (his new thing is to head butt people), but also loves to give kisses and smiles all the time. He climbs on everything and has no fear. He LOVES to play ball. He'll stand by himself to throw a ball, but doesn't really have a desire to walk. He's taken a step here and there, but definitely prefers crawling. He likes to dance and looks for "gog" all day long. He eats EVERYTHING and already eats at least twice as much as Macey at every meal. He drinks most of his milk from a sippy cup and really doesn't want a bottle much anymore (just takes a few ounces a couple times a day if I give him a bottle). He loves Macey, and she still does really well with him. I love to watch them together.

He is still the happiest baby and he brings so much joy to our family!

10 Months- June 17

At 10 months Si weighs 19 1/2 pounds (25th percentile) and is 28 inches long (20th percentile). He passed his hearing test this time! So they think the fluid is clearing on it's own, but is still not completely gone.

9 Months- May 17th

Simon weighs 18 lb. 9 oz. (30th percentile) and is still just 27 inches long (less than 10th percentile). His head is in the 85th percentile though :) And he still doesn't really have hair on it.

He started crawling a couple of weeks ago and never stops moving. He even took steps by himself on April 30th (but hasn't even attempted doing it again since then- I guess he likes crawling better now).

Still has just 4 teeth but he eats really well- choking less and hasn't been a picky eater at all.

He doesn't babble or attempt to talk at all (which usually starts around 6 months), but since he will need speech therapy after his surgery in August, they're not going to do anything about it right now.

He's still the happiest baby I've ever seen- always smiling, content, and super sweet! He brings so much joy into our lives!

Praying

Macey asks to "cuddle mommy" every night before bed. Usually we talk about her day and what she did, this time she prayed and thanked God for what she did that day :)

8 Months

At 8 months, Si weighs 18 pounds and is around 27 inches long (I measured from home which is hard to do when he moves like he does). He has 4 teeth (2 top & 2 bottom) and wants to stand all the time. He can now pull up on his own, but still isn't very mobile. He scoots on his butt and a little on his belly, but isn't very fast at it.
He's still super happy and loves to smile.

Zane's 3rd Birthday- March 23

So thankful for everyone who remembers Zane with us.

My small group girls left treats on my front porch that morning- a card that they all signed, flowers (my favorite color), coffee, and homemade muffins in a cute basket.

Debbie had cookies made

 3 balloons for 3 years

At the cemetery- we so much appreciate you all coming!

My dad cleans up and takes care of his grave site- he just put in the gray tile things surrounding the stone and added the truck, more flowers, and the wind mill things.
The bear is what Lori got Zane when we had him- we have pictures of him with this bear.
My mom went searching for a "3" balloon after mine blew away and couldn't find one, so she got the Nemo one instead because it has 3 fish on it :)
